Livelihood and Business Support (LBS) Department is charged with socio- economic empowerment of most vulnerable and poor people, including the youth, children, women and people with disabilities – both in urban setting. The overarching objective of LBS department is to empower youth, children and women, holistically.
We mobilize grass root communities into cooperatives, saving and enterprise groups and build their managerial and technical capacity to become organized and sustainable enterprises. We provide life and vocational business skills to youth and women and link them to Government-led enterprise programs.
MABAS uses a holistic approach towards poverty alleviation among our beneficiaries. From changing the mindset of rural and urban youth to providing financial literacy and improving access to capital, and from providing hands-on training in basic business management skills to monitor their business performance.
